Datacenter Services: Brief Service Outages During Maintenance

This change has been rescheduled from Oct 4 to Oct 11. IT Services network staff will be testing backup systems located within the Administration Building datacenter during this maintenance window. During this time, the backup SSL VPN system and the backup load balancer for a number of central services will be tested. This load balancer handles a number of services, including Angel, Desire 2 Learn, Connect/Breeze, VUdat, Mediaspace, Identity Management, LDAP, Service Status, www.msu.edu, m.msu.edu, maps.msu.edu, NetID, Search.msu.edu, Shibboleth, and Storemedia. Users may see one or two brief interruptions for these services during the maintenance window. No prolonged service interruption is expected.
